Common questions

What areas do you serve?

We're based in Cary and serve the Triangle, most often Raleigh, Cary and Apex, along with Durham, Chapel Hill, Holly Springs, Morrisville, Fuquay-Varina, Wake Forest and the rest of Wake County.

Are you licensed?

Yes. Roy Electric is a licensed electrical contractor in North Carolina.

How do I get a price?

Call or text us a short description of the job and a few photos, and we'll give you a free quote over the phone. That's how we quote most jobs. If you'd rather we look in person, we can come out for a site visit. There's a fee for the visit, and we waive it if you go ahead with the job.

What are your hours?

Monday to Friday, 7 am to 5 pm. We don't offer 24/7 emergency service. If you have an urgent problem, call or text and we'll let you know our earliest availability. If you smell burning or see smoke, turn off the breaker, and call 911 if there are flames.

Do you handle permits?

Yes. When a job needs an electrical permit, we pull it and meet the inspector, so you don't have to deal with the town or county yourself.

Is your work guaranteed?

Yes. Our work is covered by a 1-year warranty.

How can I pay?

Cash, check, Venmo, Zelle, and Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express.
